Darren Heling: I don't know that it looks good on your credit report - basically, it's a line of credit - your credit limit would be whatever money you put on your card. This means that the bank doesn't trust you enough to issue you an unsecured credit card. I'd look into this very carefully.
Geraldo Mccalla: Well it would give you a higher credit limit but I don't think anyone will let you put $2000 on one the highest I have seen is $1000
Bruce Calise: People who cannot get a regular credit card because they have little or no credit history can get started with a secured credit card. After having this type of card for a while and building up your credit history, you can get a regular unsecured credit card.
