Ardell Luy: Nah man they still taste delicious, you still use salt and sugar... you can use vegetable shortening or margarine or oil instead of butter. Melissa Lavallie: It's best to wait until you're forty or fifty years old to become a vegetarian, past your youth and reproductive years.
George Dingeldein: It is not a symptom of iron deficiency. However, if you have recently become a vegetarian, you should consult with a nutritionist or, if you are younger, a pediatrician who can determine if you should be taking an iron supplement (ie - just because the nosebleed is not a symptom of iron deficiency doesn't mean you don't have it, it is sometimes hard to detect without! a test). As for the nosebleed, I would say that if it doesn't happen again, you're probably fine. If they keep up, you should consult a doctor who may be able to determine the actual cause....Show more
Edwina Fu: Sometimes they do, but it depends on what you are eating. If you try to make something taste like meat or dairy that is vegan, it can be really bad.
Mitchell Pickens: vegweb.com is amazing! With all the amazing alternatives on the market today there is no reason vegan baked goods have to be gross. I think alternatives for eggs actually include bananas and alternatives to butter can be vegetable oil or applesauce for less fat.
Sibyl Siwik: make sure you have iron and calcium supplements, as you said you don't eat dairy products, and you wont be eating meat. multivitamins are also a good idea. Naturopath's are sometimes free, and are very helpful with these sorts of changes in diet. It depends on how strict you want to be with choosing what food's ! to eat or not, its your decision, if you think seafood isn't i! nterferring with the reason you're becoming vegetarian then you should still eat it if you want to.

Bibi Tyron: Definitely dispose of it properly. The mayo is probably pretty much a germy clump with its own intelligence by this time. The meat I wouldn't trust, but the cheese probably isn't bad. However, in light of the mayo alone, I'd dump it.
Derrick Kloke: Better to be safe than sorry, throw it out unless the counter you left it on is in area the is 40 degrees or below.

Enriqueta Steffen: I would not eat it... only because I do not eat meat.
Buddy Ardd: Typically, with baked goods, you need substitutions that will get the job done. Unlike cooking, baking is an exact science. Once you figure out why a specific ingredient is in there and how it contributes to the recipe, you can figure out how to replace it.
Billie Bratchett: I am not a vegan BUT:Not necessarily, a misconception is that vegan foods are bland. If vegetables are mixed with just the right balance of herbs and spices then they can be very tasty. I find in particular pasty vegan foods are delicious
Jasper Mangel: They usually taste different. Not as good to my way of thinking.
Ismael Sixon: No, it depends on how well you can cook and the quality of ingredients you choose.
Nestor Klan: I wouldn't the stand! ard for food safety is discard after 2 hours- in pretty sure that is for raw meats and things prone to bacteria like rice and pasta...not really sire about lunchmeat thoughHowever when I was pregnant we couldn't eat lunchmeats because they may have listeria on th meat from improper handling (because lunch meat is sliced off a big hunk o meat) and after 12 hrs out I would assume some of that listeria has bred on the surface. If it was just cheese and veggies I would probably eat it, but meat is differentSo while possibly delicious and might be ok, to me the violent, butt violating, horrible and potentially dangerous food poisoning caused by listeria is not worth the $9...Show more

Timmy Bustard: Okidoki, you want to be a vegetarian. That's awesome! It's gonna be tough, as there are lots of natural vitamins you'll miss out on, but you will have the pick of different types. There are four ! main types of vegetarians:FishLacto/ovoVegetariansVegansFish vegetarians only consume meat in the form of fish and shellfish. This still allows you to eat cheese, milk and yoghurt and as many eggs and egg products as you like. This is, in my opinion, the safest for beginners as you will get enough protien (which believe me, can be left out of the diet without one realizing it-- which can make you very sick) and vitamins and minerals from the fish you eat. If you do this, eat as many veggies as you can (of course!) preferably of every color you can, for each has their own associated vitamin. With the fish, eat the healthy cold-water fish that contain the heart healthy Omega-3's. These include salmon, sardines etc. This will give you your protein along with other essential minerals.Lacto/Ovo Vegetarian is just as the name describes: Lacto/Ovo. It is essentially the fish vegetarian but minus the fish. In this diet you are eliminating all once-living animals from the diet and o! nly consuming their products (basically, milk and eggs). In this diet y! ou can have eggs any way you like and milk products (cheese, milk, yoghurt etc-- tho ice cream should not be treated as a dairy section. Now a days there is too much sugar and corn syrup to let it be even near to healthy. You can still have it, but just treat it as a dessert rather than a component of a meal). Again, you need to eat ALL your veggies, and eat a few eggs a day. The easiest way to assess how much you need to eat is to scramble them so that you can make neat piles the size of a deck of cards and judge by way of the food pyramid how many of these you should eat a day. It usually sticks around four or five. I know you're wondering too, about the cholesterol in these eggs...the cholesterol in eggs isn't really that bad for you, actually, generally consisting of LDL's rather than HDL's, and what you do have in your system makes up the membranes of your cells. Believe it or not, but the cholesterol in your skin actually turns to vitamin D when you're out in the suns! hine. So if you end up eating a lot of eggs and worry about it, go outside for ten minutes every few hours and just soak up the rays! Your body will change the cholesterol over. (Be sure though, that you do NOT wear sunscreen for these intervals. It blocks all sunrays, including UVB which is the one that helps you to make Vit D.)Milk products are also important in this diet as they give a good amount of calcium and other nutrients, and hey, they let you have that glass of chocolate milk, that shake, some butter on your pasta or that slice of pizza.Next are the strict vegetarians, which remove all meat and all animal products from their diets. This is hard to follow for a beginner, and a multivitamin will be needed so that you will not be malnourished. It is easy to get the nutrients you need from this diet, but for begginers its a bit tricky.Rules are to basically eat EVERYTHING. Mushrooms, squash, cucumbers, zuccini, tomatoes, kale, spinach, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, ! peppers, sprouts-- EVERYTHING. Lettuces that are common now such as bib! and iceberg lettuce are a no no. They are all water and no nutrients. Always go for dark greens, especially purple ones. The darker a vegetable and fruit's color, the more vitamins and antioxidants are located in it. Tofu can also be eaten, along with nuts and beans which are a perfect way to get one's protien. Go for some kidney beans or chickpeas, even hummus, which has chickpeas and tamarin sauce which is full of vitamins and protein.Vegans are the strictest of the strict, keeping everything they use renuable and plant based. They do not consume milk, eggs, butter or anything animal related in any way. They will not use certain glues nor use feathers etc for anything. It is more of a lifestyle than it is a diet.I hope this helps, and if you have any questions, just lemme know :)...Show more
Davis Zou: The change among a vegan and a vegetarian is that a vegan removes all animal merchandise from his or her vitamin, adding dairy. Those following a vegan way of life b! y and large don't put on leather-based and restrict merchandise created from animals equivalent to wool, silk and down. Vegansâ massive humanity for animals is an abiding, overriding conviction of their lives. Vegetarians don't consume meat, fish or chook, however would consume dairy merchandise equivalent to cheese, eggs, yogurt or milk. Vegetarians don't seem to be as predictable of their ideals, as there are lots of causes to end up vegetarian that donât always incorporate altruism as a essential reason. For instance, many vegetarians have removed meat for the sake in their well being. In reality, there are a best many men and women lumped into the class of vegetarian. Lacto-vegetarians will consume dairy, however now not eggs. Ovo-vegetarians will consume eggs, however now not dairy. Lacto-ovo vegetarians will consume eggs and dairy merchandise. The causes for those offerings are various and headquartered on character ideals. In a few instances they're headquartered! on ethical offerings, and in others on nutritional demands or function! al selection....Show more

Dexter Dicostanzo: technically as a vegetarian by definition you're not supposed to eat seafood, but i don't really believe in definitions, so it depends how formal you want to be about it. TECHNICALLY you can't eat seafood, but its all about your personal beliefs.you can eat dairy products as vegetarian, its vegans that don't eat byproducts like dairy, but again, depending on how formal you want to be about it its all up to you. i just dont believe in eating actual meat, so i eat byproducts, whereas there are people who are more strict about it and don't even eat those byproducts. again, its all about your personal beliefs. you might want to take some protein supplements, thats what i do just in case you don't get off to a super healthy start (i started off living on potatoes, pizza and pasta so those extra vitamins don't hurt.)hmmm wha! t else. technically you're not supposed to eat eggs i don't think, but i do, again, personal preference. i heard a quote somewhere, i think it was from like Madagascar or something, that vegetarians don't eat anything with eyes. which is kind of a good way of thinking about it. if you think of it as a living creature and you don't think it deserved to die.. then dont eat it (well i don't really know why you're going vegetarian, i'm just assuming thats why)hope i helped, if you have any more questions, feel free to email me :)...Show more
