What's the name of this board game?

Avis Brantner: Mancala

Marhta Teahan: put signs up "looking for a game" at your local hobby store and community collegeinternet search

Robin Tommie: Here is a list: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeksearch.php?action...I think the easiest one to find, in spite of being out of print, would be Trivial Pursuit: All American Edition by Parker Brothers.

David Boehler: monocala

Jesse Japak: All I can think of is RISK or AXIS AND ALLIES (World war 2 board game)or maybe some patriotic version of trivial pursuit.I'm from Canada so sorry if this is useless.

Jeannine Vassie: we malaysians call it Congkak.. in older Nokia phones they hav a game similar to that and they call it Bambino i think..

Verdie Wollen: i think its mancala

Esmeralda Pigram: Mancala is a family of board games played around the world, sometimes called sowing games or count and capture games, which comes from the general gameplay. Mancala games play a role in many African ! and some Asian societies comparable to that of chess in the West. The mancala games best known in the Western world are Kalah, Oware (or Awele), Congklak, Omweso, and Bao.

Luis Mellon: I think you are talking about Mancala. Is this what it looked like? http://www.achildsdream.com/images/mancala_200.jpg

Ulysses Failey: mancala?

Freeman Rutkin: Mancala?

Vern Serratos: In addition to the other answer you can try searching for "Role Playing Games" on www.meetup.com and search for your area. They'll have a list of people that have registered as being into RPGs and are willing to host RPG games, sometimes even providing DMs for games that need them.

Coleman Coscia: Mancala. I find quit fun. I play it online all the time on club penguin.

Donte Liversedge: It has different names around the world but the origin is most likely African. In parts of S-E Asia it's called Chuka Rumah and arrived there from India.

Clemente Schoeck: Sung-ka

! Teodoro Lamond: He LOVES America so I was thinking a nice patr! iotic board game that he can play with my grandma would be good.

Rosalba Lingner: Mancala

Betsey Muehlbach: A few friends and I have been talking about playing DnD but non of us are willing to be the DM. How could we join a new group? Btw i live on Long Island if that helps. We have a small idea of how DnD works but we're still noobs.

Alisia Sutphen: Well, I'm not entirely sure about trivia questions.. If you want trivia questions you could always try trivial pursuit, any of the editions, those are really fun, though usually when I try playing them myself I fail because they're way over my knowledge level. Another board game I'd highly recommend is Balderdash -- you make up your own definitions to words and hope that people guess the right answer (: Sorry though, I can't think of any trivia games.. but Mad Gab, Balderdash, Apples to Apples, Pictionary, and games such as that rock my world. Hope they rock yours too! (:...Show more

Joaquin Dronko: In t! he Philippines, this is called SUNGKA.Quite popular here, really.

Donnie Bolio: go to http://wizards.com/DnD/ to find a store near you. Alot of times retialers will have a bullitn board that you can post that you are looking for a DM. I wouldsay you should all try it. You might like it.

Tyler Burkman: im not sure of it but it does sound like the game Quelf. It is a similar type of game to Cranium but seems more fun. It has crazy character movers and lots of card categories and the board is sorta snail shaped.

Ronald Moehr: omg i loved that game, sorry i dont remember the name.

Donnie Bolio: I played thia boardgame once and it was so fun. It was made by cranium and there were different sets of cards that you go to pick from. ex a card would tell you to do something and you had to do it for the whole game. or everyone playing would have to say something on a subject that was given. It was so much fun and it was really rare. could you help?ive looke! d on cranium too they dont have it

Nestor Klan: Where do you live! on Long Island? If you're in Suffolk, on the North Shore, or can get there easily, you could try to find a group at the Brothers Grim store in Selden. Friends of mine play there from time to time. I'm sure there are other game stores on Long Island that have open gaming, or bulletin boards where you can post a DM wanted notice. (That's how I got started, once upon a time in the distant past.) If you can't find anyone willing to DM for you, you could always take turns DMing - that way everyone would get equal chances to play, and maybe one of you will find out they like DMing and are good at it....Show more

Garrett Detone: mancala...

Alexander Villas: Sounds like MANCALA, the old African game.

Patrica Loertscher: I looked it up on wikipedia after all these ppl answered. I never heard of it. I could see a person taking an egg carton and cutting and taping something on the ends and play this with stuff you have at home...
