are there car audio receivers that fit motorcycles? Or do Motorcycles typically have their own sized units?

Ollie Desalvo: First, if you get a in dash style AM/FM CD player type receiver, you need to make sure it's waterproof. There are a few that are a complete setup, that is stereo, speakers complete that clamp on to the handle bars. If the motorcycle has a Fairing, then I would suggest a marine stereo. These are generally waterproof or at least water resistant. You also need waterproof speakers which are NOT made of paper. You can search eBay for marine stereos and can also find brand new "takeoffs" harley speakers which were taken out for an upgraded stereo. Just make sure that the speakers are matched to the output for each channel on the stereo (i.e. 200 watts total, 4 channels, 50 watts per channel, make sure you have 50 watt speakers).DO NOT use a regular car stereo and/or speakers.
