how to condition my arms for blocking?

Ismael Sixon: karate has no blocks, there all strikes, locks, perrys, traps etc.as jw said we condition for striking

Andrew Sinatra: karate?we partner up and hit each others forearms with soto blocks.if you dont have anyone willing to do that find a thin tree . a punching bag may work the same.

Cassidy Pangrazio: In our school we don't condition our forearms for blocking. We condition them for striking. We do things such as tandem kumite.

Randall Twehous: depend on your style and your need, if me, if i still could avoid i wouldn't block, i would avoid and strike him at anoter side

Stanton Villao: Kokoro and JW beat me to it. The best way is to practice inside/outside/down blocks with the same arms with a partner. Its painful, but your arms will get very strong. Often, I can not find a willing partner, so I just block on my ghetto wing chun dummy. After conditioning forearms (and knuckles), I always use Dit Da Jow.
